the empty cave reading room - Poetry
Cracked
I've been losing my mind for almost a week.
I hear the voices shriek inside my head,
but voices come and go, my skull has a leak.
I've found a new form of hide-and-seek,
and I'm cutting myself like cutting gingerbread.
I've been losing my mind for almost a week.
I'm talking to spiders talking in Greek.
I'm a violent shade of purple, blue then red,
but colors come and go, my skull has a leak.
The floors are bare, the mirror is sleek,
I've stared at the mirror until my eyes bled.
I've been losing my mind for almost a week.
I know men with fangs, capes and widow's peaks.
I've kissed Eve Black, and she I will wed,
but Eve comes and goes, my skull has a leak.
I've left pieces in bathrooms, bedrooms and streets,
I've swallowed all the aspirin - hands clenching my head.
I've been losing my mind for almost a week,
but minds come and go, my skull has a leak.
