Cinnamon - Plant Information |
General - height 10-18 m, spread 6-10 m, evergreen tree with a light brown, papery bark
Leaves - leathery, up to 18 cm long
Flowers - small, yellow-white, in clusters
Fruit - ovoid purple berries
inner bark, oil, leaves
Shoots are cut every second year and stripped of leaves. Bark is left to ferment for 24 hours, the inner bark is then removed.
