Culinary (eaten)
The dried flowers (whole Cloves) are used to season meat, stews, soups, and pastries.
Infusion (like a tea)
Add a few Cloves to any herbal tea and steep as usual.
Used for treating Indigestion, Flatulence, Insomnia, and Anxiety
Decoction
Simmer the herb for 15-20 minutes and strain. Standard quantity is 30g dried herb to 500ml water. The Decoction must be used on the same day.
Used for treating Insomnia, Toothaches (as gargle)
Oil
Medicated Oils are oils infused with the herb. Used for healing, oils are also used for skin and hair conditioning. Three methods are available to make Medicated Oils. 1) heat 250g dried herb in 500ml of oil in a bowl over boiling water for 2-3 hours. 2) fill a jar with Cloves, top it up with oil, cover and leave for 2-3 weeks. Renew the herb for another 2-3 weeks to increase the concentration. 3) add 25-50 drops of the "essential oils of the herb" into 100ml of Oil for immediate use.
Used as a Skin Anaesthetic and Antiseptic
Wash
Pour near-boiling water over the herb and let steep 5-10 minutes. Standard quantity is 30g dried herb to 500ml water. The Wash must be used same day. Use Wash by applying externally to the affected area.

Carpet Deodoriser
Sprinkle the ground dried herb on your carpets and rugs. Let sit for 20-30 minutes, then hoover the area.
Used to eliminate household moulds and bacteria and remove odours
