Thursday night - 70+ performances continued...
Artist: Disco DriveHome: Italy Venue/Time: |
The Shadrak was well filled for the performance of Disco Drive, a three piece band from Italy. Using a unique line-up (guitar/drum/vocals, bass/vocals, drum/vocals), Disco Drive pumped the venue with their punk based sound. Go to their web site at www.discodrive.org for more information. |
Artist: Joy DenalaneHome: Germany Venue/Time: |
Joy Denalane's been recording in the music industry for awhile; she sang on Music, a 1999 hit from the dance due Tiefschwarz. Pushing her album Born & Raised she performed in the manner any great diva would; on a huge stage with a large band and back-up singers to a standing room only audience. Adding sub-bass to her already warm R&B sound, Joy Denalane's performance was well appreciated by her audience. Visit her site at www.joydenalane.com. |
Artist: KillteamHome: Netherlands Venue/Time: |
A five piece band (2 guitars, bass, drums, vocals) from the Netherlands, Killteam bill themselves as heavy metal but their live performance sounded far more nu metal. Whichever genre you choose to call them, Killteam packed the Shadrak and pleased their audience. Go to www.killteam.tv for more information. |
Artist: Julie FeeneyHome: Ireland Venue/Time: |
This solo female artist packed the Grand Theatre to capacity with a long queue out front, and the audience was rewarded with her notably strong Irish performance. Appearing on stage with three back-up musicians, Julie Feeney impressed everyone with her minimalist musical style and Enya-like vocals. With the release of her debut 13 Songs Julie Feeney has been hailed as one of the most intriguing female vocalists to come out of Ireland since Sinead O' Connor.
