Special Update on Kids Express poetry competition
Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland - 24 April 2009 - The Kids Express poetry competition has been expanded to include ALL school aged children, regardless of whether or not they can make the event to perform their poem.
Kids Express is a new poetry competition for school aged children, ages 8-12 and 13-17. The competition is now open for submissions. Winners will be given the opportunity to perform their poem on stage this summer at Poets Express, a new night celebrating performance poetry in Bantry, West Cork, on 11 July 2009, 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at Bantry Boys' Club. A completed and signed application form must accompany all entries. Application forms are available in PDF or Word doc format. E-mail PoetsExpress@darkworld.com to receive an application form.
I am expanding Kids Express poetry competition to ALL school aged children, regardless of whether or not they can make the event to perform their poem. I've spoken to a wonderful young lady, Siofra, who is going to help me out for the evening. She's a poet herself, a singer, musician, and quite a performer, and she's agreed to read the winning entries if the applicants aren't there.
